The College does have two National Service Scheme (NSS) units functioning under the guidance of two NSS Programme Officers.
A major activity of the NSS units is the celebration of Vana mahotsavam programme by planting large number of saplings in the rainy season. On 15th July 2016 in the gracious presence of Hon’ble Govt Whip Sri Kuna Ravi Kumar and Hon’ble Board Members of ANGRAU Smt. Alluri Vijaya and Sri. Chepara Ganapathi Rao planted Neem saplings in the College premises. The NSS volunteers act as ambassadors of Swatch Bharat programme and take active role in keeping the campus clean and green. Blood donation camp was organised by RIMS, Srikakulam and Sri Satya Sai Trust in which 69 volunteers donated blood. Events and commemorative days like World health day, Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Jayanthi, Nava Nirmana Dhiksha, International yoga day, Ozone Day etc., were celebrated with great enthusiasm. .NSS Special Camp was conducted from 22nd October to 28th October 2016 in Kasimvalasa village under the jurisdiction of Amadalavalasa municipal limits by involving RAWEP students in which important activities viz., Sanitation Programme, Socio Economic Survey and Participatory Rural Appraisal. Animal Health Camp, Blood Donation Camp, Eye camp and Health camp were taken up during the programme, Field diagnostic visit involved the faculty and students to study the problems encountered by the farmers in the village and suggest remedial measures. Awareness was created to volunteers on farm mechanization, rabi crop management and Soil Health management. This programme was graced by Hon’ble Chairperson of Amadalavalasa Municipality Smt. T. Geetha as chief guest.
